Chinese Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers fest to vie ‘Abji’

Iranian movie ‘Abji’ is to be screened at Chinese filmfest.

Iranian movie has been scheduled to be screened at the 26th edition of Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival in China.

‘Abji’ is Marjan Ashrafzadeh’s first experience as director; however, the movie has competed several international film festivals.

“Tala and Ati (Sis) are a mother and daughter who have lived together for many years; almost 50 years, as long as the life of Sis. Their situation, however, does not last long, and the days of separation arrive. This happens when Sis depends heavily on her mother due to her special conditions, and Tala is trying to provide security for Ati's future in the remaining time; a future without her presence,” a short synopsis of the movie reads.

Golab Adineh, Masoumeh Ghasemipour, Pantea Panahiha, Hamidreza Azarang, Babak Hamidian and Shirin Yazdanbakhsh are the main stars of ‘Abji’.

The 26th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival will be staged in Hohhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region in china, from Sept 13 to 16, 2017.
